We are a working with a leading civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow, specialising in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across various sectors. Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established and dynamic commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake cost estimation, tendering, and procurement activities.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements and payments.
  • Monitor project costs and financial performance against budget.
  • Prepare and submit accurate progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide contractual advice and support to project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering projects and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel and QS software.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
