Role: Java FullStack Developer

Location: Glasgow (3 days a week onsite)

As a JAVA full stack Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in an agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems聽
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others聽
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems聽
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies聽
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect聽
- Provide guidance through leading, mentoring and coaching a team of software engineers
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
路Hands on Practical experience in System Design, Application Development, Testing and operation Stability
路Experience in developing, debugging and maintaining with the technologies and frameworks such as Java, J2EE, Microservices,
Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular, Javascript and Rest API
路Exposure Database Server such as Oracle and NoSql Database such as Cassandra.
路Knowledge in Database ORM Frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
路Hands on Experience in Microservices to run any Cloud Platforms preferably AWS.
路Knowledge in Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
路Experience across the whole software development life cycle
路Exposure to agile methodologies and CI/CD, Application Resiliency and Security
路Experience in Testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito and Cucumber for Unit Testing and Automation Testing
路Managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders
Good to have:
- Familiar with AWS via hands on experience or certification
