Senior Engineer x2

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer on behalf of our client, a highly reputable civil engineering contractor focusing predominately on infrastructure and groundworks projects in and around Dundee, Tayside, Fife, and Edinburgh areas.  Our client has an excellent reputation within the local market and secured a vast number of project wins for work for 2024 and beyond therefore are looking to expand to their Site Engineering team. 

The ideal candidate would have proven experience setting-out for groundworks packages across multiple sites.  Work will include; earthworks, groundworks, foundations, services, tracks, hard landscaping, concrete floors, ducting and drainage

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Liaise with client and design team to ensure that all information is correct and accurate before commencing work.
• Setting out and surveying the site.
• Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
• Maintain detailed records at all time,
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Strive to reduce costs and maintain budgets.
• Ensure that the company quality procedures are maintained at all times.
• Seek to complete project on time and within budget.
• Mentoring and supporting more junior staff on site.
• Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.
• Build good working relationships with staff, client and subcontractors.

Background/experience required:

• Appropriate civil engineering qualification - i.e HND/C or Degree.
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
• Previous experience setting-out for groundworks and infrastructure projects.
• CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• You should have a valid CSCS card.
