Group Accountant

Gloucester-based, service sector organisation requires a Group Accountant to take ownership for Group reporting and departmental P&Ls. A high-profile role, offering you the opportunity to work for a division of a leading PLC. There will be a focus on Excel and suitable candidates will be comfortable building relationships with stakeholders. The business offers hybrid working and a salary of up to £50,000.
Key responsibilities
- Year-end Group submissions and liaising with auditors
- Providing information to Group in relation to statutory reporting
- Preparation of group reporting, analysis and commentary for monthly packs
- P&L review and understanding reasons for variances
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing prepayments, accruals, depreciation and amortisation for all Group overheads
Ideal candidate background
- A qualified accountant with experience across management and financial accounts
- Used to working across divisions and departments with a multitude of stakeholders
- Good level of proficiency in Excel
- A confident communicator who can build relationships with a variety of audiences
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo
