Job Title: Credit Controller

Company Description: Our client, a leading electrical contractor in the UK, is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their team.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (3 months)

Start Date: 3rd June 2024

End Date: 30th August 2024

Location: Staverton, Gloucestershire

Hourly Rate: £13.00 - £15.00

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an accomplished Credit Controller to manage customer retention accounts and ensure timely payments of debt. The successful candidate will have a strong background in credit control, debt recovery, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers to ensure timely payment of debts and resolve any issues causing delayed payments.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Production teams to address and resolve any issues that may impede collections activity based on agreed payment terms.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary, gathering supporting information.
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare aged debt reports for review by the wider Commercial, Operational, and Finance teams.
  • Adhere to appropriate credit management controls.
  • Handle any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Credit.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control, debt recovery, and reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to debt collections.
  • Proficient in using internal systems and recording information accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various departments.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
