MERJE, in collaboration with a prominent insurance brokerage, is seeking a Head of Compliance Monitoring. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive monitoring framework to provide assurance to the Board and Senior Management Team. The successful candidate will execute a program of monitoring activities across systems, controls, and business conduct to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Experience in policy advisory, monitoring, remediation, and assurance across various financial services and markets.
  • Ability to apply regulatory judgment to internal and market information.
  • Strong analytical, interpretative, and communication skills, with the capability to effectively influence and network within the organization.
  • Proficient in analysing and evaluating data, with sound judgment to determine appropriate actions and solutions.
  • Effective project management skills, ensuring clear understanding of work stream scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to write clear and impactful reports.
  • Comfortable with gathering, analysing, and evaluating facts, and preparing concise oral and written reports.
  • Ability to work fairly, objectively, and impartially with absolute integrity.
  • Excellent investigative skills, with a knack for accurately analysing information.
  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities, with ease in interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of leading and driving progress on complex projects.
