Mechanical Fitter, Assembler, Assembly Fitter, Mechanical Engineer

Salary £35,787 –

Shifts - rotating shift pattern, covering dayshifts and nightshifts (which include a premium shift payment of 38.5% of your salary). Occasionally, there’ll be options for working bridging shifts and weekend shifts too.

My client is a world leading Aerospace OEM company and they are looking for Mechanical Fitters to assemble and testing nose and forestay assemblies, main gears, and side stays, all while maintaining a high standard of quality for each component, along with FOD compliance.

As a Mechanical Engineer or Assembler Fitter you will need fitting experience in a previous role ideally in aerospace or automotive Ideally with :

A completed NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, or equivalent
The ability to follow technical drawings, specs, procedures, and test instructions
A desire to learn and understand the basic principles of production flow lines, and takt times
Knowledge of COSHH and flow line methodologies is ideal, but not essential for you to apply
