Role: Product Design Engineer.

Location: Gloucester – Full time in office.

Salary: Up to £38,000.

Hours: Monday – Friday 09.00am – 17.00pm

Working for an industry leading manufacture in Gloucester, you will be taking new and existing products from initial design and concept to finished product. You will work alongside the Senior Design Engineer out of the Gloucester office primarily using Solidworks 2D and 3D.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Being involved in the product design process from the beginning I.E concept stage.
  • Creation and control of 2D technical drawings and 3D models within SolidWorks.
  • Working alongside the Senior Design Engineer in developing new and existing products.
  • Working closely with Technical and Sales teams to help understand the market requirements and customer needs.
  • Assist with product manufacturing, verification and testing.
  • Provide technical customer support as required .
  • Complete technical writing, guidance and supporting documents for new and existing products.

Skills:

  • Previous use of using Solidworks is advantageous but also experience using 2D and 3D packages.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Able to use engineering calculations and tools.
  • Work as an individual and as part of a wider team.
