Our Gloucester based client is a well-established and highly successful business that has an incredible track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget across the UK.  Due to ongoing growth and expansion, they are looking for a highly organised and conscientious individual to join them as a Finance Assistant. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant in need of a new challenge or a Junior Finance Assistant who is seeking professional growth.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Checking purchase orders against invoices, ensuring timely payment of suppliers
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Running weekly payroll
  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations
  • Other general financial and administrative duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications of the Finance Assistant:

  • AAT qualified desirable, however experience in a similar role is essential
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • First class communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proficient user of IT, including MS Excel
  • Ability to nurture excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
