Learning Disability Support Worker

37 hours per week, bandwidth hours 8am - 6pm

Occasional Saturdays (any weekend work can be taken back during the week)

Sellick Partnership are supporting the recruitment of a Learning Disability Support Worker within a Housing Related Support Team.

As a Support Worker providing Housing Related Support in accommodation based Learning Disability Team, you will be providing support to persons at two of our Learning Disability Schemes in South Gloucestershire and assisting colleagues at two others.

The key responsibilities of the Learning Disability Support Worker will include:

  • Dealing with low level anti-social behaviour
  • Organising activities to help build relationships with their neighbours
  • Ensuring a smooth running of the scheme
  • Providing support to help individuals manage their tenancies and pay their rent
  • Forming professional relationships with the customers and signposting to other services

The successful Learning Disability Support Worker will have:

  • Previous knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • Experience of providing housing support (desirable)
  • Driving license and access to a car
