Technical WriterFilton6-month contract Paying up to £48.18p/h (umbrella) ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who looking for an experienced Technical Writer to work out of their site based in Filton. As the Technical Writer, you'll be responsible for Technical Authoring activities related to commercial aircraft including Design criteria management, and Validation & Verification activities.Responsibilities: * Maintaining compliance with EASA/FAA regulations (ICA process) and EN9100 for the own technical scope and perimeter of responsibility.* Technical expertise to manage all authoring activities for the technical scope of the jobholder.* Being the Technical focal point for other domains and companies (design office & customer services & subcontracting companies & suppliers).* Assessing aircraft design criteria (e.g. Service Bulletin, Customer Originate Change, MPM, drawings) for technical manual impact. Collect all associated necessary source data from the design office, component manufacturers, and suppliers (RSP, NSP).* Non-identified impact on other ATA chapters or manuals respective work-sharing partners in other domains or local lines.* Defining product manual revision/creation target and ensuring associated deliverable follow-up.* Writing of maintenance or troubleshooting or material or wiring procedures.* Manage A/C configuration at A/C MSN level for all written procedures in order to ensure that Airbus Technical Data accurately reflects the aircraft configuration.* Ensure program tasks harmonisation. Experience required:* Proven experience working as a technical writer /author in the Aerospace & Defence sector.* Knowledge of integration and management of all design criteria impacting Technical Data products.* Experience managing all authoring activities for the own technical scope of the jobholder.* Experience with assessing aircraft design criteria (e.g. Service Bulletin, Customer Originate Change, MPM, drawings) for technical manual impact.* Be Knowledgeable with Fuels systems.* Experience with Maintenance and troubleshooting manuals.* Experience updating and maintaining Aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogue and troubleshooting.
