Learning Support Assistant

Simply Education are working with a charming primary school in Grantham that are looking for an experienced learning support assistant to join their team from September. The primary School are looking for someone who can work with learners on a one to one basis or as part of a group to support teaching and learning.

As a successful candidate you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis with learning activities
Use encouraging teaching strategies to meet pupils' needs
Help implement IEPs and learning plans set by the SENCO
Provide extra assistance to pupils who need additional help
Promote the inclusion of SEN pupils in all aspects of school life
Establish positive relationships with pupils and staff members

To be considered for this role you should have:

Experience working with children in a learning support role
An understanding of supporting pupils with SEN
Excellent communication skills and patience
The ability to stay calm and positive under pressure
A caring and encouraging approach to supporting young learners
10 years checkable work history and 2 years referenceable work history.
