Role: Bookkeeper (Accountancy Practice)Location: Grays, Essex
ProTalent is working with a well established Accountancy Practice in Grays, who are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients.- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash transactions.- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.- Produce financial reports and assist with the preparation of management accounts.- Support clients with any bookkeeping queries and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper handling multiple clients- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.- High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.- AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
