Working as part of a professional health and safety consultancy team to manage and deliver high quality health and safety services to a portfolio of mainly construction based, small to medium size customers, in London and the Home Counties, mainly to the west and south of London.
The role includes a wide spectrum of health and safety work e.g. producing RAMS (risk assessments and method statements), Site health & safety audits, CDM Advisory work, writing construction phase plans, policy reviews, health and safety reviews, assistance with accreditations and accident investigations.
Main duties
The health and safety advisor will:
1.Manage a monthly portfolio of site visits to customers for construction site inspections and produce reports using a real time hand held PDA based inspection report
2.Manage a portfolio of retained Competent person scheme customers
3.Undertake annual and bi annual health and safety reviews at customers premises or by video conferencing or phone
4.Reviewand update health and safety policies with customers annually
5.Work with customers to produce risk assessments and method statements
6.Work with customers to provide CDM advisor support to produce Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans
7.Assisting clients with gaining accreditations – i.e. CHAS /SMAS etc.
8.Undertake site accident investigations using company procedures
9.Any other health and safety customer advice and guidance as required
Hours of work
Weekdays only. Maximum of 35 per week, although this is open for discussion
Place of work
Home based and ideally situated in a county bordering the west of London so you can easily reach our customers in West London and around the M25 corridor to the south of London including Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Salary
To be discussed depending on experience but in line with market rates for similar roles
Expenses package
Car-There is substantial travel within a 60 mile radius of the base so a car is essential. A car allowance or reimbursement of mileage policy is in place for this role.

An induction to the company and initial accompanied site/customer visits will be provided.
