Access Liaison Officer (Temporary)

Location: Guildford area
Rate: £25.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Are you an organised and confident communicator who enjoys problem-solving and building strong relationships? We’re looking for an Access Liaison Officer to join a busy Housing Property and Asset Management team on an interim basis, with the potential for a longer-term role.

In this vital role, you’ll help coordinate and facilitate access to residential and commercial properties so that essential safety checks, maintenance, and inspections can be carried out. You’ll act as the link between residents, contractors, and internal teams — keeping everyone informed and ensuring work runs smoothly with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate access arrangements for contractors, surveyors, and internal staff across housing properties.
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents regarding access and maintenance visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of access attempts, appointments, and outcomes.
  • Support the scheduling of compliance checks and essential maintenance.
  • Develop creative communication campaigns to improve understanding and cooperation from residents.
  • Issue and manage keys, fobs, and access credentials securely.
  • Report any access-related issues or delays and help identify solutions.

About You:

You’ll be proactive, empathetic, and able to balance multiple priorities. With excellent organisational skills and a calm, professional approach, you’ll thrive in a role that requires strong communication and diplomacy.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in housing, property maintenance, or compliance.
  • Confidence working with residents, contractors, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, databases, scheduling systems).
  • A team-focused attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.

This is a great opportunity to make a tangible difference — helping ensure that essential safety and compliance works can be delivered efficiently, while maintaining positive relationships with residents and contractors alike.

If you’re motivated by great service, enjoy a mix of office-based coordination and people interaction, and are ready to take on a varied and rewarding challenge — we’d love to hear from you.
