Science Teacher (Guildford)

We are looking for a dedicated Science teacher to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEMH needs. The school fosters a community where every student feels valued, understood, and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to inspire a love for Science and improve academic outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional and social development of students.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized education plans and support holistic student development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods to ensure all students succeed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE Science curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching and learning.
