We are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to our legal team in Guildford. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare, type, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage attorney calendars by scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings.
  • Attend to client inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone with professionalism.
  • Maintain and organise case files, both electronic and paper.
  • Assist with billing processes, including time tracking and invoice preparation.
  • Conduct legal research as directed and compile case materials.
  • Coordinate and manage deadlines to ensure timely filings.
  • Transcribe dictations and meeting notes with accuracy.
  • Liaise with courts, other law firms, and clients as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role within a law firm.
  • Familiarity with legal documents, terminology, and court procedures.
  • Proficient in legal office software, MS Office, and document management systems.
  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Relevant qualifications in legal studies or secretarial work are preferred.
