I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Interim Deputy Manager to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people by providing a homely supported living for young people, aged 16-25 with complex needs associated with autism transition into adulthood
As a Interim Deputy Manager, As a deputy manager, you will be supporting our Home Manager to continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals. - Salary: 26,813 - 29,738
- Location: Cardiff
- Hours: Full time / 37.5 hours per week

As an Interim Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance, with the regulatory framework, organisational objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deputising in the manager's absence and being a creative and innovative leader that supports the home to be a specialist excellent service.
- Participating in the Companies "Out of hours" service.
- Supporting the staff team with the transition of residents in and out of the home.
- Helping to co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
- Acting as a mentor to new staff and co-ordinate their induction into the home.
- Supporting the supervision of all staff and reporting on compliance.
Requirements:
- A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and working towards your Level 4
- At least 2 years working within a care home or childrens home
- At least 1 year experience as a team leader or senior role
- A good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support mode
- Experience of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets and supervising staff.
- Awareness of new developments, standards and best practices in the sector.
