We are currently looking for MultipleFacilities & Estates Operatives to join our team. As a Facilities & Estates Operative at Together Housing, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting in the successful delivery of a customer orientated and effective Cleaning & Waste Management Service. Also ensuring all internal and external communal are left Clean, Safe and Attractive for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine cleaning of all internal and external communal areas, ensuring these areas are left clean, safe and attractive for our customers; using a combination of hand tools, power tools and chemical agents when required.
  • When required assistant in the removal of graffiti, fly tipped waste on the organisations land.
  • Undertake a range of minor repairs to communal properties, gardens and the wider estate including planned deep cleaning. Ensure that access footpaths are kept free from hazards and/or obstructions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, responsible for working in service areas across the team as required, cleaning, waste & house removals and general duties associated with estate management.
  • To deal with on site customer enquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Recommends any suggestions/improvements to influence wider decision making via appropriate channels.
  • Plans and organises workload to meet deadlines in line with the departmental service plans.
  • Resolves day to day issues, or identifies matters that require escalating
  • To co-operate with the employer and any other person in order to ensure that statutory requirements concerning health and safety are fully met.

Requirements

  • MUST have a full MANUAL Drivers License
  • Cleaning or Caretaking experince highly desired
  • Experience working in a customer orientated environment. With a flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve work demands & priorities, including a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate relevant cleaning/caretaking equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and specific site safety
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy to enable accurate record keeping
