Machine Shop Setter - CNC

Halstead

Salary: 31,200- 35360 + Early and Late shift allowance.

Full-time, permanent position

Shifts:

Day shift: Mon-Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 1.30pm

Early shift: Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm

Late shift: Mon-Thurs 2pm -11pm =36 hrs, Friday 2pm - 6pm = 4 hrs

Responsibilities:

  • Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, to start production cycles.
  • Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts using precision and measuring tools to maintain high quality standards.
  • Periodically test machine operation and fix any issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Check output for any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs for documentation purposes.
  • Assist in the use of cranes and forklifts as needed.

Key Requirements for Role:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter Operator/Programmer
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
  • Strong coordination and control skills
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Decision-making ability and good communication skills
  • Strong team working ability and adaptability to change.
