Elevation are proud to be working with a leading business in Harrogate as they look to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk into the team. We are looking for an organised and motivated individual who will help support the businesses growth and make an impact from day one.

Role Responsibilities

  • Process purchase invoices manually and using our automated scan and capture system
  • Process employee expense claims and credit card statements
  • Prepare payment runs, arranging and settling contras
  • Clear Goods Received Not Invoiced Transactions
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and review aged creditors reports
  • Resolve queries in conjunction with the Purchasing team
  • Develop good relationships with key suppliers
  • Maintain purchase ledger accounts, posting and allocating payments
  • Input to short term cash flow forecasting
  • Contribute to implementation of new systems, processes, and controls

Role Requirements

  • Previous accounts experience
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised with experience of working in a high volume, fast-paced role
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Methodical and accurate with strong attention to detail
  • Used to working to tight deadlines
