We are looking for a Part Time Billing and Credit Control Assistant to join our finance team and assist the Finance Manager in the effective administration of school finances. This role requires a professional with a good level of education and a qualification in finance. The position is all year round, with annual leave to be taken around the billing cycle to ensure continuity of service.

Day to Day of the Role:• Administer and maintain the Billing Ledger, including posting fees and extra charges, preparing invoices, and recording changes to account profiles.• Process receipts from parents, ensuring accurate ledger entries and safe storage of cheques.• Handle monthly and termly direct debit collections, maintaining direct debit functions within iSams and iFinance systems.• Produce correspondence for outstanding school fees and provide monthly reports on fee status.• Respond to parent queries in a timely manner and liaise with the School Registrar regarding pupil records.• Manage the Early Years Funding Scheme, ensuring timely claims and refunds.• Perform month-end procedures, including debtor control account reconciliation.• Prepare and distribute registers for early and late class sessions, calculating charges for termly invoices.• Conduct bank reconciliations, process refunds, and maintain the school’s Euro Account.• Manage petty cash and school credit card expenditures, ensuring accurate reconciliation and processing.• Oversee lettings, including raising invoices and credit control.• Maintain charity account ledger and manage funds for After School clubs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:• A professional qualification in finance and a good level of education.• Proficiency in MS Excel and IT communications.• Experience with iSAM’s or iFinance is desirable.• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• Previous experience in Billings and Credit Control

This is a Part-time role, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (negotiable), 25 hours per week. This role requires a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
