Are you an insightful and engaging Psychology Teacher ready to explore the complexities of the human mind with our students? We're seeking a fantastic permanent, full-time Psychology Teacher to join our Outstanding mixed school in Barnet, starting this September. This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 5 (aged 16-18) to delve into the fascinating world of human behaviour and cognition.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering captivating Psychology lessons, covering various approaches and methodologies.
- It's about guiding students through key psychological theories, research methods, and ethical considerations, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
- You'll cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom where students feel empowered to discuss complex ideas, debate research findings, and apply psychological concepts to real-world scenarios.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Psychology lessons at Key Stage 5 is highly desirable.
- A deep and current understanding of psychological theories and research, plus that unique ability to make the subject accessible and relevant.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a genuine passion for inspiring psychological curiosity.
