The Company:

Interaction have partnered with a leading precision engineering firm specialising in the aerospace, automotive and motorsport industries based in Wellingborough on their search for a Quality inspector with a good working knowledge of CMM Systems to join their quality team. This client is looking to add to their team of inspection specialists and are happy to offer training on programming CMM machinery.

The Role:

· You will be using an array of Vision and Cosmos CMM Inspection systems to ensure a high quality of precision engineered components within the Aerospace, Motorsport, MOD & Medical Industry.

· You will operate and program CMM machinery, mainly Mitutoyo machinery, using the Cosmos system to carry out first off, last off and in-process quality inspections.

· To ensure components are Turned, EDMs or Milled to a high standard and within tight tolerances

· Highlight any defaults, log and suggest rectifications.

· Use a variety of hand held metrology tools to assist with the inspection process (verniers, micrometers etc)



The Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years experience working as a quality inspector within the precision engineering industry (essential)

· Previous experience using CMM machinery - preferably Mitutoyo (essential)

· Proven ability to use hand held metrology (essential)

· The ability to operate and program CMM systems - preferably the COSMOS system (advantageous)

· A willingness to learn & work within a team

· Understanding of Cosmos, Vision or QCT Inspection CMM Systems
