Central Employment is proud to be working with an international business currently undergoing expansion across Hartlepool. At this stage, they now need an experienced IT Manager who will look after the on-site infrastructure and be comfortable working through a list of improvement projects, leveraging cost-benefit and capability. 

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our on-site IT infrastructure. From managing the servers to spearheading projects to improve connectivity and efficiency, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operations and driving advancement.

Hours:

Mon - Thurs 7am - 4pm 

Fri 7-11 am 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain on-site servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Lead IT projects focused on improving connectivity, infrastructure, and overall efficiency.
  • Support management of around 30 workstations
  • 365 administration of the tenant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand IT needs and develop solutions that support business objectives.
  • Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees, resolving IT issues promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent level of experience.
  • Proven experience in IT management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of server administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices.

The Person

  • Strong communicator with internal/external customers
  • Able to translate technical requirements for the layperson
  • Good understanding of current market and value for money in improvements
