The roleNigel Wright are currently support a Global food manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Quality Auditor. A business that prides itself on developing its employees and offering excellent career progression opportunities. The RoleThe key priority of this role is to  drive all standards within the factory to ensure the site is audit ready. Achieved through the internal audit and inspection programme and continual assessment of site standards whilst on the factory floor to ensure that the factory environment complies with group, third party and customer requirements. What will a typical day look like:
  • Providing guidance and technical support to ensure the sites QMS are being followed on the factory floor, working closely with the Quality Systems and Operations Teams to promote high levels of awareness, and understanding, as well as driving continuous improvement to ensure there is a standard approach on QMS activities whilst promoting product safety, legality, and quality excellence.
  • Supporting the sites Internal Audit and Inspection programme to verify the sites QMS meet all 3rd Party and Customer requirements.
  • Ensuring that audits are carried out by trained personnel to the correct standard in a timely manner.
  • Acting as a credible customer facing representative.
  • Building sustainable relationships with the centralised functions to ensure the smooth introduction of new materials, products / processes, ways of working and materials to site. Key stakeholders include Food Safety Team, Regulatory Team, Raw Material Team, Category Technologist and Procurement
  • Ensure H&S and environmental standards are always adhered to, and departmental risk assessments are up to date where relevant. Adopt a ‘don’t walk by culture’.
RequirementsThis role would suit an individual who has a food related degree and is looking for that first step into food manufacturing, or someone who is already working in a similar role and is looking for a new challenge.Please note this role is working shifts:Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm for 2 weeks, then Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm for 2 weeks.
