Qualifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration
- Other post-qualification training relative to the role and OPMH (Older People’s Mental Health) or Forensic Psychiatry
- At least 1 years’ experience at Band 5 or equivalent in OPMH or Forensic Psychiatry
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983/2007) and its application
- Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and how it relates to patient choice
- Understanding of vulnerable adult and children safeguarding procedures
- Organising and prioritising own workloads
- Demonstrate ability to enhance care through evidence-based practice
- Demonstrate professional development relevant to the care of older people
- Knowledge of assessment and management of clinical risk
