Prospero Teaching's client junior school in Hassocks (BN6) is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to take responsibility for Inclusion while the current Inclusion Manager is on maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for someone considering a future role as an Inclusion Manager or for an experienced professional looking to step further into school leadership. The current Inclusion Manager is also the Assistant Headteacher, and the right candidate may have the chance to take on this broader role. This could also be an excellent secondment opportunity for gaining leadership experience.



Senior Leadership Role and Inclusion Manager (Maternity Cover) - Start September 2025


This post is non-class based - 4 days a week (0.8 FTE) - some flexibility for the right candidate.


Salary: Leadership spine between L2 to L5 (depending on experience).


Deadline for application: Wednesday 14th May, 2025.


Post to start: Early September 2025 (maternity cover).



If you're enthusiastic about ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils-particularly those with SEND-and have a background or strong interest in Special Educational Needs, this role could be perfect for you. The successful candidate will oversee provisions for our most vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, and those in receipt of Pupil Premium.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (Essential)
  • Experience of working within a similar role (desirable)
  • Evidence of, and commitment to, continuing professional development (desirable)
  • A relevant degree or higher degree qualification (desirable)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
