The Ginger Fox Pub is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standard, ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food to the highest standard
- Supervising and delegating tasks to junior chefs and kitchen porters
- Maintaining and managing prep levels
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Assisting with menu planning and development
- Following recipes and presentation guidelines accurately
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar kitchen environment
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of a variety of cuisines
- Experience in managing and training junior chefs and kitchen assistants
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Own transport, as this role is in a rural location and public transport is patchy at best
We offer an hourly wage of £1.44, plus tips via tronc between £6000-£8000, and an average of 45-50 hours per week.
