A Purchasing Assistant is required to join this amazing team for the UK’s largest manufacturer of bridal jewellery. They have been creating fine collections of handmade engagement rings, wedding rings, eternity rings and partnership jewellery at their workshop since 1967.

They are looking for an enthusiastic assistant who would like to train for a career in buying. Initially you will be processing orders and raising PO’s and dealing with people internally rather than with suppliers or clients. As you develop this will change and you will be more actively involved in the supply chain and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising Purchase Orders
  • Receipting purchase orders and quality checking materials
  • Material allocation to production orders
  • Preparing and receiving goods for hallmarking
  • Ensure inbound raw materials are scheduled to be delivered on time by monitoring and chasing outstanding orders
  • Cross functional working with all departments

Skills Required

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Computer literate in MS office
  • Does not accept average performance in self or others.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Systematic
  • Logical
