Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the cable industry, is currently seeking a Cable Assembler to join their team. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of coaxial cable assemblies, tinning with solder pots, heat shrinking, crimping, soldering, cable preparation, and testing. This is a contract position with opportunities for progression based on individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly of coaxial cable assemblies
- Tinning with solder pots
- Heat shrinking
- Crimping with handheld or crimp-cradle
- Working with multi-component connectors
- Soldering when appropriate with tongs or irons
- Comprehending and following drawings and instructions
- Carrying out cable preparation and terminating connectors onto the cable
- Working at a bench (either standing or sitting)
- Automated and manual cutting of cable lengths
- Automated cable stripping
- Testing - basic continuity to signal wave from analysis & phase matching
Job Requirements
- Experience in cable assembly
- Good concentration and attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Ability to listen well to instructions and guidance
Hours of Work
Monday - Friday, 08:30-17:30 (07:30 - 16:30)
