DESIGN ENGINEER

A Leading design, manufacturer and installation of bespoke cleanrooms to the life science and technical sector are expanding and looking to secure a Design Engineer. The design engineer is key role to translate the customer vision into a concept and reality.

As the design engineer you will be responsible for the technical input to client projects. Duties may include the following:

• 3D design/modelling and co-ordination of complex cleanroom projects - Through Revit and BIM

• Following and applying design principles and due process for each and every design package

• Site Surveys & Client Design Meetings (Onsite & Teams) to progress designs

• Documentation production: Functional Design Specification, Master Room Specification, Technical Files

• Create relationship and Work with suppliers to incorporate their drawings into our design in a timely manner

• Review and amendment of O&M manuals and As Built Drawings for final issue

• Provide installation and commissioning documentation to the site team to ensure efficient and effective installation.

• Perform QA checks on project-based documentation.

• Support estimating and bid teams to enable quotes and estimates to be drawn up reliably and timely, liaising with key internal stakeholders and business partners.

The ideal candidates for Design Engineer

  • Good working experience of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, BIM, Excel, within previous experience in cleanroom/controlled environment design.
  • Documentation production experience (Design Qualifications, Functional Design Specifications, Master Room Specifications, User Requirement Specifications), Understanding of RIBA stages of design
  • You must have at least 3 years industrial experience and be able to work on a number of product development projects.
  • Previous industrial experience within a regulated environment - GMP environment, pharmaceuticals, food, electronics .
  • Demonstrate project control, with evidence on how you achieved the business goal.
  • Provide support to design operatives to aid in department growth.
