Specialist Childcare Workers

Location: St Helens
Salary: 25,905 - 28,410 per annum (or pro-rata for part-time hours)
Contract: Full-Time, 39 hours per week, day and night shifts available

About Us:

This is a new residential provision focused on supporting children transitioning from a specialised secure environment. We provide a psychologically informed, therapeutic environment to help young people move from physical security to relational security, offering Residential Care, Education, and Health support.

Your Role as a Specialist Childcare Worker:

You'll be part of a close-knit, therapeutic team offering trauma-informed care, where safety is built through trust - not locks and barriers.

  • Create a warm, caring space where children feel safe and respected

  • Deliver support grounded in compassion and understanding of trauma

  • Be a consistent, reliable figure in a young person's journey to a brighter future

  • Contribute to care plans and psychological formulations

  • Empower children to develop life skills and independence



Who We're Looking For:

You don't need years of experience - just the right attitude and passion for making a difference.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or willing to train)

  • Empathy, patience, and a positive approach

  • A solid understanding of trauma, or a keen willingness to learn

  • Commitment to treating every child with dignity and respect
