We have an excellent opportunity to join us! This role is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the marketing strategy for both Zenith People and Zenith Training. With some commonality and a number of key differences between businesses, this strategy should engage current and prospective learners and employers/candidates and clients in interesting and valuable inbound and outbound content which reflects our organisational tone of voice.

The role holder will be part of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, and will advise and lead on marketing activity - across all channels - which is geared towards business growth through the acquisition of new business and the embedding of our brand as a trusted partner in the minds of our service users.

The Marketing Manager will ensure that brand and effective engagement are two of our organisational strengths. This role is also responsible for providing marketing support to all operational areas of the business.

Job specific responsibilities:

  • Formulation and implementation of Zenith’s marketing strategy
  • Creation of marketing schedule/calendar based on overarching strategy which drives day-to-day and campaign activity. Actioning schedule through marketing team.
  • Building upon Zenith’s brand presence and perception - focussing on the North East region.
  • Building a strong team, capable of supporting a growing and creatively ambitious business.
  • Leadership, management and support of marketing team.
  • Managing external agency/partner relationships.
  • Generation of creative ideas for campaigns, video content, blogs, PR, merchandise, etc. to drive engagement across will channels on a B2B and B2C basis.
  • Costing, execution, follow up and assessment of effectiveness and ROI of the above.
  • Management of marketing budget.
  • Generation of value adding, consultative and thought leading content inbound in line with our areas of professional expertise.
  • Implementation of a creative approach to our outbound content including job advertisements, social media posts and infographics.
  • Management of Zenith People and Zenith Training websites - ensuring they function centrally to engagement with and delivery of each organisation’s services - ensuring up to date and creative content, search engine optimisation and maximisation of opportunities identified through insight marketing.
  • Implementation of 'insight marketing’ and associated marketing activity - linking in with Sales team to ensure conversion of leads.
  • Utilisation of feedback, NPS results, testimonials and case studies to promote Zenith’s services.
  • Monitoring of and reporting on competitor marketing, service and brand activity.
  • Supporting Graphic Designer with creative work where required using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Audition etc.
  • Supporting the building of Zenith’s employer brand - through internal comms strategy, development and utilisation of Zenith intranet and the management of team events and activities.
  • Monitoring external communications produced by colleagues to ensure in-line with our tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest techniques, marketing trends and insights.
  • Delivering against internal standards, systems and procedures and involvement in internal audit programme.
  • Attending networking events and other events, such as business and careers events.

Person specification:

  • Qualified in marketing, media, graphic design or related discipline, possessing a minimum of four years in a marketing role
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing environments.
  • Able to manage a team - coach, develop and support as well as undertake day-to-day management duties.
  • Possess the desire to fully understand the businesses and services to be marketed.
  • Must be creative and keen to keep up with and implement the latest in marketing thinking.
  • Experience in the utilisation of graphic design software.
  • A strong communicator able to work with a broad cross section of individuals to promote Zenith People and Zenith Training to clients and candidates.
  • Organised and able to coordinate consistent activity across a number of areas of the business.
  • A keen researcher who can apply new ideas to an established business.
  • Insists upon high standards and possesses a consistent approach.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Innovative approach.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to influence/motivate colleagues to be passionate our brand and appreciate what marketing can help us achieve. Able to utilise colleague network to generate contributions to marketing efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent working knowledge of social media channels.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Willing to apply big thinking to a medium sized enterprise with a realistic budget.
