We currently seeking an Senior Energy Consultant to promptly fill a crucial role. This position entails overseeing the energy-related aspects of various design projects and undertaking diverse energy tasks and projects. The ideal candidate should possess proven expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, and renewable energies, alongside a keen interest in climate change, energy management, and sustainability.
Key qualifications for the successful applicant include:
- Proficiency in Engineering pertaining to Energy Management
- Experience with HevaComp, TAS, or similar energy modeling software
- Preferably, EPC Certification and Low Carbon Consultant Certification
- Recognized academic qualifications (Degree, HND, NC, etc.)
- Membership in relevant professional bodies (IMechE, CIBSE, etc.)
- A client-centric approach
- Practical understanding of heat and power generating technologies
- Conceptual design experience in energy production, usage, and recovery systems
- Familiarity with passive or low-energy design solutions
- Competence in producing energy reports and statements for planning purposes
- Ability to conduct performance and emission calculations, as well as energy and mass balances
- Knowledge of commercial contracting and purchasing procedures
- Proficiency in financial modeling of energy production processes
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office 365

Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with clients to understand project requirements
- Conducting design calculations and proposing designs at various stages
- Collaborating with clients, design team members, suppliers, and Contractors
- Preparing tender documentation and monitoring contracts on site
- Performing site surveys and adhering to SVM QA procedures
- Generating reports and providing guidance to junior engineers and CAD/Revit staff
- Assisting other departments and contributing to system and procedure development

Qualifications for the job:
- Preferably a Mechanical Engineering degree
- Strong mechanical engineering design skills in general mechanical services
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in building engineering services design
- Computer literacy and proficiency in computer-aided design calculations
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
