Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team. As a TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with special needs to achieve their educational and developmental goals. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students with their daily activities, including personal care and mobility.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt instructional materials.
  • Monitor and track student progress and report to the teaching team.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of our students.
