Salary up to 23,000 dependant on experience
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

This is a vital role within the organisation, as you are bridge between the medical and administrative functions of the company and the main point of contact for patients. You will work closely with your colleagues providing a fist class service to all patients and visitors. You will provide information and answers to patients queries regarding their visit and explain procedures for treatments. You'll need to be welcoming and remain calm while explaining investigation/treatment recommendations and friendly when discussing options and managing expectations.

All the patients and staff interact with the Reception staff at some point during the day, so you will need to be a friendly and able to cope well under pressure.


Main day to day duties include:

Welcoming incoming patients/visitors, registering all new patients and checking questionnaires have been completed correctly on arrival of new patients
You will ensure the visitor book is completed and guest passes are allocated and returned at end of visit
You will answer incoming telephone calls and manage email inbox, responding to general enquiries and book patient appointments, liaising with medical staff to obtain answers to specific queries
Excellent administration skills are needed as you will send out new patient packs in advance of their first appointment (to be emailed where possible) including confirmation of first appointment time and date
You will generate estimates detailing recommendations, ensuring all estimates are given/sent out to patients with relevant information and discussing and explaining options with the patient

Skills and experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressure
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Very good organisational and customer service skills
The ability to convey complex information
Good computer literacy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in matters pertaining to highly sensitive subjects
