Following strong success within retail and direct-to-consumer channels, the business is now focusing on strengthening its presence across the on-trade sector — and is seeking a dynamic Sales Lead to drive this exciting next phase.
The Role
You will be responsible for expanding the brand’s presence in the on-trade market, building and managing key client relationships, and developing the commercial infrastructure to support future scale. You’ll work closely with leadership to define routes to market, optimise internal systems, and drive overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
On-Trade Sales and Expansion
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across bars, pubs, restaurants, and hospitality venues.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both independent venues and group operators.
- Win new listings, drive order volume, and maintain strong account management practices.
- Represent the brand at relevant trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.
Commercial Strategy and Business Development
- Contribute to pricing, margin strategies, and trade terms negotiation.
- Build and manage distributor relationships and evaluate new regional sales models.
- Lead sales forecasting and work closely with operational teams to align stock and production planning.
Sales Infrastructure and CRM Ownership
- Manage and optimise CRM usage (HubSpot) to ensure effective pipeline management and reporting.
- Create and implement streamlined sales processes and customer engagement workflows.
- Develop playbooks, templates, and internal resources to support business growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing to deliver effective trade marketing initiatives and increase brand visibility.
- Provide insights to influence new product development and customer engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to improve customer experience and reduce friction.
Strategic Projects
- Deliver targeted growth initiatives such as loyalty programmes, new channel pilots, and regional market expansions.
- Play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy and contributing to wider leadership discussions.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in commercial roles, ideally within premium consumer goods, drinks, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong understanding of the UK on-trade landscape and buying processes.
- Track record of building new business and growing strategic accounts.
- Commercially astute with experience in pricing, forecasting, and margin protection.
- CRM experience (HubSpot preferred) and data-driven approach to sales management.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and excited by building processes from the ground up.
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-evolving environment.
The Package
- Salary £30,000 - £35,000 + Commission
- Flexible hybrid working (semi-regular travel to Hereford HQ)
