A RARE and ENTICING OPPORTUNITY for a Deputy Manager Children's Residential Services has become available in Hereford.

The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in high-quality care and safeguarding for children in a dual-registration home, maximising the life chances of Looked After Children.

The role involves maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment In accordance with the values where young people feel valued, listened to, and are encouraged to reach their full potential. The Deputy Manager will promote consistency and stability across the two homes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted, to meet the Company's commitment to safeguarding.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Children's Residential Services
Salary: 34,000- 40,000 (Plus 5k bonus paid monthly)
Working Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hereford

Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager Children's Residential Services


  • To encourage the young people to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age.

  • To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.

  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed.

  • Provide personal care when required.

  • Provide support for people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.

  • Maintain a safe environment for the service users.

  • Ensuring the safety of the students and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the individual's; care plan, guidelines, reward system, and preferred method of communication.

  • Supporting taxing behaviours safely and sympathetically.


Requirements:


  • 6 months experience working in a similar setting is desirable.

  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Adult Social Care (Essential)

  • A passion for supporting people living their lives

  • You MUST be a driver as you may be required to travel between sites during shift

  • You must be over the age of 18
