We are recruiting for a Quality Technician for an award winning innovative manufacturing company which supplies products that change people’s everyday lives for the better! With 60 years experience and a large manufacturing facility in Hereford, this company are continually improving process and products to make a difference!

This Quality Technician role is a full time permanent position working Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am – 4pm offering a salary of £27k plus 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays!

As Quality Technician, reporting into the Quality Manager you will be responsible for the day to day quality requirements dealing with non-conformances of product and process and supporting the Quality function within the business to maintain ISO13485. Your main duties will include:

  • Assisting in carrying out Quality Control inspection process for IQC, IPQC, FQC, as requested
  • Investigate and analyse quality issues arising from IQC, IPQC, FQC, non-conforming product CMS
  • Investigate and monitor corrective actions internally and externally when non-conforming issues arise
  • Assist in the calibration and Calibration system and equipment
  • Support Production in quality matters that may arise
  • Goods inwards Inspection of products
  • Supplier audits for corrective actions and 8D validation
  • Participate in CMS investigations and containments
  • Initial containment / inspection of parts/products at Goods in to ensure a supply to production
  • Collect and disposition of Quarantined parts / components from production racks
  • To support internal auditing within the company following the audit schedule

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a quality role within an engineering production environment
  • Good knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001), problem solving capabilities, and analytical skills
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings, specifications, standards
  • Testing and measuring of equipment, IT literate in Word, Excel, Power Point
