The Company:

Our client is a highly respected organisation with a reputation for excellence within their industry.They are seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedFinance Administratorto join their small team at Company HQ atRiccarton/Hermiston area, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

The Role:

The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the small finance team by providing professional and efficient assistance in key financial responsibilities.You will also assist with supporting a number of branch offices across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Handle accounts payable transactions efficiently
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in month-end reporting by ensuring the accurate processing of accounts information
  • Provide support to branch offices regarding accounting queries
  • Manage client and supplier account applications
  • Address third-party enquiries effectively
  • Undertake ad hoc accounts administration responsibilities as required
  • Process daily post as needed and provide holiday cover
  • Be flexible to provide holiday cover within the department as necessary

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar Finance/Accounts role, demonstratinga solid understanding of financial processes and systems
  • Excellent Numeracy skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong organisational skills, allowing for effective management of multiple responsibilities and initiatives
