The site you will be covering is a world renowned aviation site in Broughton.

The role:

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be joining a part of a larger team of multi skilled engineers working on static site in Preston on a Prestigious Industrial site carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on any general building maintenance, small installation projects, servicing and repairs.

Main Duties:

  • Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks according to schedules
  • Lubricating moving parts to ensure smooth operation
  • Replacing worn or damaged parts as needed
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and diagnosing problems
  • Repairing or adjusting mechanical components to restore functionality
  • Conducting tests to ensure proper functioning after maintenance or repairs
  • Documenting maintenance activities and keeping accurate records
  • Following safety procedures and protocols while working on machinery
  • Collaborating with other team members or departments for complex repairs or upgrades
  • Participating in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and techniques
  • Implementing improvements to enhance equipment performance or reliability.
