Production Planner & Controller - Hoddesdon, Herts - OFFICE BASED

£40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Are you passionate about streamlining production processes and ensuring efficiency within a dynamic manufacturing environment? 

We're hiring a talented Production Planner to join a vibrant team and manage internal forecasting, production schedules, and more!

In this role, you'll collaborate with the Procurement and Production teams to ensure the MPS/MRP plan is delivered on time and achieves/improves the planned cost.   We're looking for outstanding planning and analytical skills. You must also have an aptitude for building and managing production forecasts and delivery schedules.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop internal forecasting for production requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to establish and uphold production schedules.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to forecast raw stock and implement delivery plans.
  • Liaise with sales departments to align forecasts and schedules with sales requirements.
  • Maintain production of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and produce comprehensive reports for the management team.
  • Work alongside the Operations Team to identify and implement efficiencies in production processes.
  • Address production issues and maintain jeopardy management to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Oversee the creation of production orders to align with production schedules.

General Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supply chain/production management, preferably in a product manufacturing environment, is required.
  • Proficiency in building both Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MSP) plans.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Excellent planning, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills.
  • Competent in problem-solving and decision-making.
