Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering dynamic and engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and preparing lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives
  • Participating in school events, parent meetings, and professional development activities

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
