Facilities And Plant Coordinator - Main Purpose of the Role

This is predominantly an office based role, with the responsibility of organising, maintaining and scheduling asset and premises repairs and servicing. There will be opportunity to visit and work in other depots across the

country as required. You will be working in a small team who are jointly responsible for a wide range of duties with emphasis on ensuring all production machinery is well maintained and compliant.

 

Your Primary Roles and Responsibilities

1. Maintain machinery/equipment asset register.

2. Coordinate maintenance visits for machinery/equipment with contractors and internal staff. Ensuring everything is recorded accurately.

3. Main point of contact for employees across the company with any repairs/maintenance tasks.

4. Arrange for 3rd party machinery repairs to be scheduled, based on urgency (with utmost urgency). Includes hands on trouble shooting, basic repairs.

5. Research and recommend new machinery/equipment on an as needed basis.

6. Project manage/assist the setup of new depots including organizing trades, project management as well as carrying out tasks yourself.

7. Raising of orders related to expenditure before or at time of cost incurred (timely fashion).

8. Cost control, logging of expenditure for asset life cycle cost analysis.

9. Research and order suitable tools which are fit for purpose if required.

 

Basic Skills Required

• Exceptional organisation skills

• Microsoft Office/365 product suite knowledge and comfortable using CRM systems

• Good communication skills

• Negotiation skills to achieve best value for money and shortest lead time

• Timely execution of all work carried out

• Solution focused thinking

• Consistency of work

• Understanding of electrics, plumbing, metalworks and carpentry is desirable but not essential.
