Job Profile for Production / Engineering Planner - MC267573

Production / Engineering Planner required for a material testing manufacturer based in Hook. As the Planner you will be responsible for the scheduling and coordinating of products from sales Orders through manufacturing to completion, ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay.

You will work closely with the Production team to schedule work according to customer requirements and with the procurement team to understand any constraints potentially affecting the SO completion date.

Reporting to the Business Systems Analyst/ Planning Manager, you will take responsibility for all daily planning activities feeding and receiving information into production, purchasing and sales to enable them to achieve their business KPI's.

Production / Engineering Planner Position Overview

  • Manage the planning and scheduling of Works orders (WO's) to ensure sales orders (SO's) are planned according to customer lead time and shipped on time in full.
  • Manage allocation of Sales orders to ensure key dates achieved in full and MRP can run effectively.
  • Prepare MRP to ensure it runs effectively and is processed as per agreed schedule.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure any issues identified potentially affecting SO/WO's are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure system promised dates are adhered to, working closely with the procurement team to ensure any issues identified potentially affecting SO/WO's are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Main point of contact for all sales order status updates and queries including escalation of issues, and reporting on any delays, increased risks or missed milestones for sales orders on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with relevant departments to support resolution of QA lines and SMI's raised, review the impact on WO/SO and advise accordingly
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to review and improve current processes

Production / Engineering Planner Position Requirements

  • A team player, with a strong desire to succeed, a 'can do' attitude.
  • Confident in dealing with day to day queries independently
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and strong excel skills.
  • Good understanding and experience of SAGE 200 ERP or similar, along with ERP and MRP systems.

Production / Engineering Planner Position Remuneration

Salary dependent on experience £28,000

- We provide free lunch, sandwiches, baguettes, salads, hot food

- 20 days holiday per year, + 8 bank holidays. additional 1 day for every calendar year up to 25

- Non contractual bonus (1 months' salary)

- Xmas time we close down, (3 days of holiday)

- Working hours are a 40 hr week

- Parking on site
