Reed Education are looking for a passionate LSA to join our team at a nurturing SEN school in Smallfield, Surrey. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, a welcome bonus, and the chance to support children aged 6-11 with communication difficulties typically associated with Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to ensure they feel safe and enjoy learning.
  • Promote and encourage pupils’ independence and personal development.
  • Support the Class Teacher with the day-to-day running of the class.
  • Adapt to the varying needs of the school and undertake any necessary tasks to ensure smooth operations, including occasional physical intervention (training provided).
  • Promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
  • Be flexible to contribute to the overall aims of the school as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in a special school environment is mandatory
  • Team TEACH Training (desirable).
