Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Financial Controller for a growing Horsham based SME. This position takes responsibility for all aspects of accounts for the UK Division of this rapidly expanding and successful business. It could suit someone with management or financial accounting experience in industry looking for their next career move or someone working in practice in an accounts preparation role looking to move into industry.

The role of UK Financial Controller is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing global finance team and the opportunity to develop both yours and the company’s finance expertise. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Provide financial support, business partnering and leadership to UK business & senior management team
  • Co-ordination of UK month-end processes & management accounts
  • Approve AP & AR postings and weekly payment runs
  • Prepare and process accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register & depreciation
  • Responsible for maintaining/reviewing all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare / approve all UK journal entries
  • Manage UK year-end and audit process
  • Ensure UK tax compliance
  • Preparation of UK budgets and forecasts
  • UK cashflow reconciliation, analysis, and forecasting
  • UK variance analysis and KPI reporting
  • Other ad-hoc UK & Group reporting and analysis as required
