Job Description: Commercial Account Executive - New Business / Insurance

Location: Horsham (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (Basic Salary) with New Business Bonus Incentives

Commission: 25% of any income earned over an agreed threshold

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Hybrid working model with 3 days working from home and occasional in-office training.

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Account Executive for a dynamic new business development role, based in Horsham. The successful candidate will focus primarily on networking, building relationships, and developing a strong profile within the local area. 75% of your time will be dedicated to these activities, with a goal of building a book of business centred around corporate and commercial accounts, specifically targeting larger clients with an income of £2,500 and above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Networking and relationship-building to expand the client base, focusing on larger corporate and commercial accounts.
  • Marketing Strategy: Developing and implementing strategies to identify new opportunities and attract clients.
  • Managing a Book of Business: In addition to generating new business, managing an existing book of around £50k in commercial business.
  • Business Growth: Driving the expansion of the portfolio, focusing on clients with an income of £2,500 and above.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar role within Commercial Insurance.
  • Strong background in new business development and account management.
  • Experience working with larger clients and managing accounts with a high value.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information:

  • Work Environment: Hybrid working model with 2 days in the office (Thursday mandatory, with one flexible day - Monday or Wednesday) and 3 days working from home.
  • Occasional In-Office Training: You may be required to attend occasional in-office training sessions.
  • Compensation: New Business Bonus Incentives in addition to the basic salary.
