3 MONTHS ROLLING CONTRACT
The post holder will be responsible for investigating and preparing responses for complaints, Freedom of Information requests, Councillor and MP enquiries and any other complex enquiries relating to all aspects of Parking and any other associated services in accordance with the legislative requirements.
To provide the information, support and advice in accordance with legislative requirements, policies and procedures as required.
To support any special projects in accordance with the departmental service plan.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Corporate
1. To work effectively as part of the statutory functions team, delivering corporate objectives through the work of Transport, Traffic Management and Parking Services.
2. Work proactively in the Transport, Traffic Management and Parking Team to build effective relationships in order to promote and deliver the corporate objectives through the work of the department
3. To promote the council strategies and corporate values in accordance with the Customer Charter to ensure that the service is delivered to the highest standard.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience of investigating and responding to complex issues in a clear and concise manner
In depth knowledge of legislation and Acts relevant to Local Authority de-criminalised parking and traffic enforcement
Experience of working and communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external bodies to achieve service objectives
Proven track record of working in an environment where customer needs are variable
Demonstrable experience in resolving problems effectively after exploring the options and considering the implications
Experience of reaching sound judgements after careful and systematic evaluation of facts.
